We live in neighborhood and like this place. We have always gotten fairly good service but after reading other's reviews I get that this may not be the norm. A waitress named jazz took care of us more than once and she is top notch. The food has always been quite good and the menu is diverse. They have good mole worth mentioning. Now the thing I don't like about them is a biggie...the default yellow cheese they use is plain old American cheese!!! Yes even on their enchiladas!!! I thought I was imagining things so I asked a waiter and yep, the only way to get tacos or enchiladas or anything else there to not be made with American cheese is to ask for whatever your ordering to be made with white cheese which is Monterrey Jack.. What a bummer man--parking shortfalls are nothing compared to wanting to bring your own cheese to a restaurant. Mariachi music played live was quite a treat on the weekend but they were hard to hear over the noise of people talking loudly. I wish they had come to our table but they didn't get around to us, partly due to our coming late no doubt.. We're going again tonight and to assure good service and food will ask for Jazz and white cheese only.
Pros: menu selection (mole; puffy tacos; etc), Mariachis, decor
Cons: American cheese enchiladas (yuk!)
