So I went to Kyoto with a couple of my friends and I'm a very picky eater and don't usually go for exotic cuisine, but my experience was amazing. The host staff was very friendly and the mixed drinks were excellent; they have many of their own recipes and have put twists on many common drinks such as the mojito, cosmopolitan, and martini using sake, peach, and other flavorings. And the food! Even though I was venturing out of my comfort zone, the food was especially delicious (I had the black noodles and some of the Kyoto Chef's Salad). The chef's salad was an assortment of sushi presented in a martini glass and it was sooooo good! The thai food was also very flavorful and spicy because I love food with a little kick. Anyways, long story short: check this place out!!\r

Pros: hot staff period.
Cons: weekend reservations needed- not a bad thing; just be prepared
