I am very lucky, as I live just a few short blocks away from a GREAT bakery. In addition, they are extremely clean, which is a very important plus. I have tasted about ten or so of their cakes and pies, and all are great. Since they sell to restaurants as well as to the general public, everything is sold frozen and takes several hours to defrost in the fridge or 2 to 3 hours at room temperature. However, their apple crumb pie, which I think is only made on Saturdays, is sold fresh at room temperature and sells out by no no later than mid afternoon. These begin selling their apple crumb pie at around 10am.
