I was driving on Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island and I saw that there was a bakery, and it was Aunt Butchies. I know that bakery from Brooklyn because they have the best chocolate mousse cake. So I stopped and went in. To my amazement, I noticed that they have a full blown restaurant inside. So my girlfriend and I decided to stay and eat. The food was unbelievable! We had mozzarella spedini and Pete's salad, and filet mignon in port wine sauce for main course! To die for! I enjoyed the food so much that I forgot to bring home my chocolate mousse cake and had to go all the way back to get it! more

Aunt Butchie's 1/23/2010

I usually go into Aunt Butchie's Desserts for the sample cake (which is out of this world). this holiday season it was great because i was able to send samples out to family members nationwide. they went NUTS for it. and you must try their cupcakes. better than crumbs! more

Best Chessecake around. 8/6/2009

I recently went to Aunt Butchies and ordered the sampler. It was to die for. The cheesecake literally made my knees buckle, and my wife flipped over the mousse. If anyone is within a 2 hour radius, I strongly recommend that you stop by Aunt Butchies because it is just that good. more

Great Bakery, Plus Extremely Clean 12/12/2008

I am very lucky, as I live just a few short blocks away from a GREAT bakery. In addition, they are extremely clean, which is a very important plus. I have tasted about ten or so of their cakes and pies, and all are great. Since they sell to restaurants as well as to the general public, everything is sold frozen and takes several hours to defrost in the fridge or 2 to 3 hours at room temperature. However, their apple crumb pie, which I think is only made on Saturdays, is sold fresh at room temperature and sells out by no no later than mid afternoon. best desserts in new york 6/28/2008

went to aunt butchies recently- best chocolate mousse and cheese cake ive ever had. they also have this cake called the sampler which is perfect because it gives you a variety of 5 cakes - something for everyone. the establishment is spotless too, which makes me very happy. best desserts around. piece of advice though, get holiday cakes early becuse they seem to fly out of the store! more

THE BEST CHEESECAKE IN THE WORLD 7/28/2005

I have had a lot of cheesecake -- I would even consider myself a expert on cheesecake. Aunt Butchie is the best cheesecake ever, ever, ever. It's almost like having pudding and cheesecake combined -- like chocolate mouse cheesecake. You go Aunt Butchie's. more

The Best Cheesecake!! 6/11/2003

Ive never actually been to Aunt Butchies, so I cant really rate the establishment itself, but I can tell you that the cheesecake that I tasted of theirs was the best ive ever had!!! It was the Raspberry Almond and it was wonderful!! I would greatly recommend them to anyone looking for a great New York style cheesecake! more
