Here?s a company that understands what going on out there. I am one of their tenants, and I accidentally got a copy of an internal memo from the owner. It was directed to all of his property managers, property owners, and rental staff. The sense of the letter was that for the foreseeable future they would not be raising rents unless someone?s rent was ridiculously low. This was apparently not done as a ?favor? to the tenants, but out of what seems to be good business sense: to avoid unnecessary vacancies when times are tough. Mutual benefit, as it turns out. Good for the owners of the properties, and good for us tenants.
Pros: Not raising rents when times are tough
Cons: None at this time
