I took my truck here. It had 175k miles. I thought it might be the transmission. The exceedingly polite and courteous shop manager did the 21 point check. He called me to say there was MAJOR transmission damage, and a rebuild was required. When I said I would like to take it to another shop for a second opinion, he told me it was unsafe to drive, and that I was risking my life and the life of others if I took it off his lot.\r

I took it to the dealership, where they said the transmission was solid, but I needed new spark plugs and plug wires. THis was $200 vs. $2000 for a transmission rebuild that was not needed!!!!
