Since we pride ourselves on our ""professionalism"" and our ""quality"" work, as attested to by hundreds of clients each year it is only fair that the rest of the story be included as a rebuttal to the complaint about a $1600 mistake. First it should be noted that the mistake made caused the IRS to send an ""additional"" $1600 to the client. Surely the client looked at his check and his return and knew what he was supposed to be receiving! IRS recommended that PDQ pay him nothing, but we were trying to do the right thing by offering to cover some of his ""penalties"". Oh, he also forgot to mention that by the time he brought it to the attention of PDQ, IRS had already sent several notices and he chose to ignore them until they became more demanding! As regards to access; I am especially insulted as the person he is referring to is my wife and has been ill for over a year. Several trips to hospitals and doctors have taken place and they still have no answers. I can honestly say that this is the only client out of hundreds that has found it necessary to act or pass information this way. Especially since it is not the whole story! Also, we arranged for IRS to abate the penalty and reimbursed him for the interest. I wonder who else would go so far to help a client?
