FRAUD and LIES! 11/20/2011

Horrible, due to their incompetence, my taxes were audited immediately by the IRS for the first time ever, and cost me PENALTIES and INTEREST due to THEIR errors! They would not help, will not answer calls. I wish I knew what I knew now. I will drive to St Louis if I have to and get a reputable accountant, one that answers their phone, and DOES NOT KEEP ANIMALS IN THEIR OFFICE!!! They are more than disorganized, have poor knowledge of tax law, and do not respond to phone calls. UNBELIEVABLE - Bob Henderson is one of the owners of this company. Look on casenet they even have a personal tax lien (https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet)! They are not even certified as an accountant! FRAUD! If you have had similar experience, please call the IRS and let them know! Don't trust the 5 star rating below - it was written by Bob Henderson, one of the owners! more

PDQ 2/9/2010

I have used PDQ accounting in the past and I have to admitt that they have found deductions for us that no one else has. My husband and I for years have gone to ""retired IRS agents"" to do our taxes b/c we felt comfortable with their knowledge. We had to pay the IRS and State b/c the taxes were not done right. They had made more mistakes then we probably would. I do have to admitt though, the phone calls are not returned as fast as you may like, even after the tax deadline is over. Overall, I believe they are a reputable business and I will be using their service again this year Pros: Better Tax Deductions found Cons: Return Phone Calls more

All cards on the table 11/6/2008

Since we pride ourselves on our ""professionalism"" and our ""quality"" work, as attested to by hundreds of clients each year it is only fair that the rest of the story be included as a rebuttal to the complaint about a $1600 mistake. First it should be noted that the mistake made caused the IRS to send an ""additional"" $1600 to the client. Surely the client looked at his check and his return and knew what he was supposed to be receiving! IRS recommended that PDQ pay him nothing, but we were trying to do the right thing by offering to cover some of his ""penalties"". Oh, he also forgot to mention that by the time he brought it to the attention of PDQ, IRS had already sent several notices and he chose to ignore them until they became more demanding! As regards to access; I am especially insulted as the person he is referring to is my wife and has been ill for over a year. Several trips to hospitals and doctors have taken place and they still have no answers. I can honestly say that this is the only client out of hundreds that has found it necessary to act or pass information this way. Especially since it is not the whole story! Also, we arranged for IRS to abate the penalty and reimbursed him for the interest. I wonder who else would go so far to help a client? more

$1600 Mistake On Our Tax Return 11/9/2007

PDQ Professional Tax Service made a $1600 mistake on our tax return. We got a notice from the IRS that we owed $1600, + $134 in interest + $99 as a penalty. PDQ acknowledged their error but would not reimburse us the $134 interest we paid. When they said they would pay us $80 as a final settlement, and we agreed, they still refused to pay. more
