I had read a favorable review of Simply Thai and was excited that it was so close to our home, so we decided to give it a shot. I will say that the food was alright (nothing special but not bad either), and not overpriced. The service and atmosphere however was awful. At first glance the restaurant is very pretty. Lights up and flowers on every table. Half of the tables (including ours) were covered in very DEAD flowers. Pretty gross. Also the restaurant was freezing. Everyone had on their coats through their meal. I saw the owner walking around several times and was surprised she didn't adjust the heat setting. Kept quiet because she did NOT seem very approachable. We were not even greeted by our server until 20 minutes after being seated. Forgivable if they were swamped but there were 7 tables for 2 servers. When she did great us she asked for our order and then interrupted us to ""go grab a pen"". Would have been fine if she smiled or said sorry or anything but she acted like we were at McDonald's. Water was slapped down on the table with the paper still attached tot he top of the straws. Didn't know they did that outside of Jamba Juice. Food finally arrived 25 minutes after ordering. During this time no contact from our server at all. Food was fine. Place seemed to have potential but I would not return unless I wanted cheap takeout. I'll continue to drive a bit to Thai Garden. They never disappoint.
Pros: Ok food
Cons: service
