Never trust anyone that throws out a 5 star or a 1 star rating. Only a rare few restaurants are that good or that bad. There has to be an agenda somewhere. I'm delivering the truth.
The restaurant is pleasant in a modern pre-fab comminuty kind of way. The building is in a new appartment development and looks like it should be the community meeting house. The dinning room is large with a two story ceiling. They did a fairly good job creating an intimate atmosphere in such a large room. The art work from Target doesn't help, they may want to consider finding local artists in the area to display paintings.
The service was very pleasant, attractive and young. I did encounter some small problems and these were handled with tact, grace and a smile.
I'm a big fan of BYO's and was disappointed to find out that they are no longer a BYO. Despite that, their beer selection is very nice and they carry Victory beers which is always a plus in my book.
Now the food. I ordered a Pan Seared Tuna crusted with Wasabi and Potatoes. It was a generous portion of Tuna, a little on the fatty side, but I wasn't expecting top quality meat. There was the perfect amount of sauce accompanied with the tuna and the wild rice was slightly dry but nothing to criticize. The biggest drawback to the dish was the potato stick topping. They were clearly from a box and not made fresh, they were also stale. Stringed onions or fresh potatoes would have been better.
Also, I order Asperagus as a side. I was brought out a plate of 3 skimpy asparagus. I was insulted by such a small portion for the money I was paying.
My girlfriend ordered Crab and Chicken drenched in a tomato and cream sauce with raviolis. While the food was flavorful and well made, drenched in sauce is an understatement and it was accompanied with 3 small ravioli, we were expecting a little more balance to the dish.
The food was tasty, but nothing spectacular. Price was high but not outrageous
Pros: Location, tasty, comfortable dining room, friendly service
Cons: disproportionate dishes, not BYO, small side dishes
