I graduated in April 08 with an associate Paralegal degree from the Akron campus. I earned excellent grades from qualified instructors who went out of their way to be helpful and answer questions. \r

I feel I received a great education, however if I can't get a job then I owe $28,000 for nothing. I looked into several paralegal programs and chose the ACR only because of a job placement rate above 90%. Since graduating I have been told that was probably a lie and the current placement is more like 25%. The 25% number seems like a long shot to me as well since the fresh-out-of-school placement director informed me he has too many responsibilities to be actively searching for jobs and has no networking ties in the community for legal jobs .He seemed to be working very hard to establish some. \r

I was given two job leads in May. One wanted to hire me but was 1 1/2 hours away and a 10 day temp fill in job. The other I never heard from. I recently received my third lead (in sept 08) but that looks to be going nowhere too. He says he will forward any hiring request to the graduates, but with the list of job duties the school has placed on him even that may be difficult. To be fair, since being bought our by Delta Education the focus has been the almighty dollar and trying to attract new students. \r

In my opinion, I would have been better off with a recognizable school on my resume, though I can't imagine better teachers. The trade off of going to a small school just because they would help me get a job turned out not to be a good one\r
Pros: awesome teachers
Cons: higher cost, job placement
