I never used the alarm system, several false alarms (my kids) ended up costing me over 500 in fees to local police dept. I have a VOIP phone and not a regular phone line so the server would not work once I switched over. I contacted ABC alarm to cancel my account. They said I still had a month left under contract. They told me to send them a fax with a written statement that I wanted to cancel. I did that, I called them to confirm they received it. I check my bank account 3 months later and they are still charging me. I called them and left a message. No call back. I finally got hold of them and they said they never received it ( the same woman I had confirmed the original fax with) so I faxed the previous one to them as well as the confirmation from the first one. I checked my account again a few months later and no refund and they were still charging me!!! I contacted them again and got hold of the same woman. I explained it to her and she said she was so sorry for the inconvenience (yeah right) she then asked me to fax her another authorization to cancel :-(. So I complied for the third time and faxed her again. I called and she said she had received it and I should see the refund in a few days. I never saw anything and months later they are still billing me!!! I called back and could not get hold of the woman I spoke with before and the person I did speak with could not find any information about my account? So now (today) I have received a letter from them stating that I am seriously past due and I owe them money???? What the F__K? These guys (ABC alarm of Modesto) are basically criminals, protect your bank account and stay away from them!!!!
Pros: The police came when the alarm went off
Cons: They continue to bill me 2 years after I have cancelled my service.
