ABC Alarm INC

ABC alarm is now Skyline security in Modesto. Adison Ammo & Jerry S are the district director and general mgr, respectively Adison Ammo signed me up to Monitronics 2 years ago, In April 2011 Adison Ammo appeared on my door step again and led me to believe that Monitronics has merged with ADT and I needed to renew my contract. At 1st I told him to leave but he convinced me that Modesto PD would no longer come out for alarms and that ADT had their own guards. I renews my contract in late 4/2011. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that both Monitronics & ADT were taking monthly payments from my checking acct. I called ADT to asked them to correct their records and to refund me the overpayments, ADT told me they were not associated with Monitronics and that Adison Ammo was not one of their employees. I them called Monitronics and was told the same. However Monitronics believed I was scammed by Adison Ammo and offered to work with me. They also issued a scam alert in their 6/2011 statements alerting customers to beware of door-to-door salespersons. I'm trying to send Adison Ammo a letter detailing of the facts/proof I gathered, however I cannot find a mailing/street address. Let this be a RED FLAG to everyone out there. If the company you're dealing with does not have a physical address on any of their business forms/cards, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! My next step is to ""CALL KURTIS"" to get this matter resolved, as Monitronics has agreed to a reduced settlement as long as it's paid by 7/16/11. I relayed this info to Adison & Jerry today via phone. Jerry I left a voicemail and Adison I actually spoke to..which didn't go well. more

I used to work for this company as a direct sales rep. Mark Wilson is a cunning, tenacious, sales person who's best sale ever was to convince his own sales team that they could get rich and achieve all their life's dreams by selling alarm systems for him. He lied to his team, stole customers from his own sales reps that he didn't like and cheated his OWN employees out of money. Myself and several other sales reps had to pay him some $80 for our own licenses which I later found out he'd never applied for. He just took our money. His wife and sister in law ran the office and if they didn't like you they would screw you royally taking contracts YOU worked for and giving them to other sales reps and telling you ""Oh that customer canceled."" ABC Alarm isn't really an alarm company. They do what any shaved monkey can do: Impress you by using simple tools, then they throw poo at you. They are sales people and a few guys who know how to use drills. They don't monitor your alarm, that's contracted out to another company. I can only hope that Mark Wilson's ethics have turned around and that he runs a legit operation now. Pros: I leared lots about life working for this ""company"" Cons: Lying cheating con artists more

I had two great young gentleman show up to my door offering a free home alarm system and I was very skeptical at first but these guys took the time to explain the ins and outs of exactly what I was being offered. I work three jobs and it was my only day off but they had a technician there to install my system within two hours! I have had ADT before and was upset with the service and had my home broken into and no response was given! Since I have had ABC i have had peace of mind that everything will be taken care of to my standards! I reccomend this service to EVERYONE! You will not be disappointed! I give you my word! I did my research prior to install and found ABC ALARM to be an honest local company. I previously read some of the reviews and did my own research and found that the disgruntled customer was some one who failed to pay there their monthly payment. I felt compelled to let future ABC customers know this. They have been great and very accommodating. Best wishes to all. The good reviews for this company are very questionable because if one employee posts a review then....\r Closers get paid but liars get sued!!! \r *UPDATE, we have a judgement in our favor in Tulare County. If you have a problem with this company contact the Stanislaus DA 'cause we also have a criminal case going. Forgery!! They are now advertising as Skyline 209 and Installboard. Lately due to the economy, we have experienced a lot of break-ins around our area. I was worried so I got an alarm from ABC Alarm. Not even a week later, someone broke into my neighbors home.\r I felt bad for them, but at least they passed up my home! more

They came to our neighborhood promoting a state-of-the-art system valued at over $2200 and I can get it installed for just $199! Hmm I thought what a bargain! So I asked to see the system, did they have any brochures? no, any paperwork showing the actual costs I am saving? no, a website where I can take a look at the system I am buying to see the specs? NO! NOTHING! I went online myself the next day and the entire system they said was valued at over $2200 was only $299 installed. I was laughing at the manager, who would not give his last name probably out of embarrassment, and told them they are a joke and borderline illegal with false advertising. He hung up on me. They are probably out of business by now. Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Cons: EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM, BORDERLINE CRIMINAL. more

They saved me from my old system and out of date monitoring of my Brinks system. I was not expecting to change my service however after research about the no-responce law ABC Alarm solved all my challenges. Im so glad they stopped by. There customer service has been very fullfilling and they have been very understanding with my needs. I have a tendency to over analize everything and they were very patient. I recently had someone attemt to break in my home while i was on vacation. Fortunatly I had an alarm system, the monitoring company contacted me to let me know that my alarm system was alarming. To make a long story short the police arrived at my home and caught the burglar before they could get away. I would highly recommend this company. I ended my contract with my previous alarm company for ABC because they had too many false alarms and nobody ever showed up. I can't help but think what if? As far as the customer service I've never experinced any problems with them being kind and curtious. Pros: They respond very quickly Cons: I have none more

I never used the alarm system, several false alarms (my kids) ended up costing me over 500 in fees to local police dept. I have a VOIP phone and not a regular phone line so the server would not work once I switched over. I contacted ABC alarm to cancel my account. They said I still had a month left under contract. They told me to send them a fax with a written statement that I wanted to cancel. I did that, I called them to confirm they received it. I check my bank account 3 months later and they are still charging me. I called them and left a message. No call back. I finally got hold of them and they said they never received it ( the same woman I had confirmed the original fax with) so I faxed the previous one to them as well as the confirmation from the first one. I checked my account again a few months later and no refund and they were still charging me!!! I contacted them again and got hold of the same woman. I explained it to her and she said she was so sorry for the inconvenience (yeah right) she then asked me to fax her another authorization to cancel :-(. So I complied for the third time and faxed her again. I called and she said she had received it and I should see the refund in a few days. I never saw anything and months later they are still billing me!!! I called back and could not get hold of the woman I spoke with before and the person I did speak with could not find any information about my account? So now (today) I have received a letter from them stating that I am seriously past due and I owe them money???? What the F__K? These guys (ABC alarm of Modesto) are basically criminals, protect your bank account and stay away from them!!!! This company has always provided me with exceptional customer service. I have no complaints with the entire experience with this company. I especially love the fact that they offer the feature thats simular to onstar where the speak to you over the panel AT NO COST!!!! I was a cust of adt and would highly recomend this company over ADT. I also had a service issue and they responed the same day at no charge to me. I wouldnt go anywere else. more

Do not use ABC alarm, the service is awful!! The people that work for ABC alarm especially the manager name Jennifer is very very very unprofessional. The entire installation process was bad, I have had the systyem for a little over a year and I have yet to use it because when it was installed I was not given adequate instructions. I tryed to cancel my service but because of a contract I am forced to stay but I am in the process of contacting my attorney to have the contract reviewed. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureu. So again please do not buy from them, there service is horrible and the manager Jennifer is a unprofessional female dog!! Service is horrible!! I call them 3 times to let them know my alarm isn't working right the day after I bought it. Each time they said someone would come out to fix it. NO ONE CAME! Then 2 months later I noticed no one was monitoring my system. That lasted 7months with no one monitoring!! Then I tried to cancel service because I felt that was a breach of contract and it should be terminated...they said you can't cancel and threatened to send my act. to collections if I didn't pay Now I have notified the beter Buisness Bureu so we will see what happens now\r DONT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not reccomennded. Asked for a quote and was told one thing then when they came out to do the work I was told a difference of a couple hundred bucks. Maybe it doesn't mean much to them but, it means a lot to me. If you have a day to waste stay home and wait for them. Otherwise call someone else. Cons: a waste of time more
