My husband took me out for a special dinner and special it was. We asked for a quiet table and were ushered into a room with only 4 tables - a pleasant change from the noisy atmosphere in so many other places. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed a well-made martini with hand packed bleu cheese olives. Our appetizer of Artichoke Fritters was excellent and something out of the ordinary - definitely freshly made. I had the side salad with one of the house dressings - just right. The Prime Rib was generous and delicious. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and steamed just right. I asked for a side of tortellini rather than the spagetti, mostaccioli, rice or garlic potatoes offered as a side, and they were wonderful, with a very good home-made marinara. A delightful change from the customary baked potato and one more culinary detail making the experience an Italian one. There was more food than I could eat. With no room for dessert but still wanting a sweet finish, I ordered a drink - Lemoncello. What an absolute delight! It reminded me of a fresh made Italian Ice I enjoyed on a trip to Italy years ago.\r

The atmosphere is exquisite and I can't wait to go back when we can enjoy the grounds a bit more. The terrace and gardens adjoin a bridge that crosses the river - a most romantic and exotic ambiance that made a walk around in the brisk autumn wind absolutely essential.\r

Joey T's is listed as an ""Italian Steakhouse"" and that is exactly what it is. Yes, it is a more up-scale menu, but worth every penny and not at all over-priced for the experience.\r
Pros: Excellent food, atmosphere and service
