Yesterday my husband and I went to the Gilbrater Trade Center to walk around. I was absolutely horrified when we walked past the Pollywood Pet Store on premise. Those poor puppies and dogs looked so pitiful in their dirty cages that were full of feces and urine. Most of the dog's fur looked dirty and matted, and their eyes were encrusted with the gunk that comes out of their eyes and has never been washed off. Two of the dogs were just lying there and looked absolutely miserable, while others were twirling around in their cages trying to get out. They all looked so helpless and hopeless. I was infuriated that these animals were in such conditions! When I spoke to the owner about how awful the conditions were, I was told ""these dogs are taken better care of then I take care of myself"". How can this store be left to operate? Why isn't it shut down? Where can I file a formal complaint? I could not sleep last night thinking about how awful it must be for those puppies and animals kept there. In no way are they treated humanely. Take the owner's license away and never let her operate any kind of pet store again!
