Words cannot express my anger towards this animal hospital. Last Monday I took by 1 1/2 year old boxer to them because she had been limping over the weekend and her front left paw was swollen and she could not put it down. My gut instinct told me she must have fallen on some rocks at carmel beach where we take her every day. This was my first time taking her to this animal hospital and the reason I chose this place was because The Carmel Pine Cone readers voted it best vet in Carmel. The vet that saw her little did I know was actually a fill in vet while the main vet is away. His name was John C. Andersen and he diagnosed my poor boxer as having a reaction to a "venemous bite" and injected her with medicine and issued me some tablets to give her. Four days passed and I knew it wasn't a "bite". I took her back in where the main vet George W. Bishop saw her and examined her and showed me exrays that showed yes indeed her front left paw was BROKEN! Not only did I pay for the first visit where my dog was misdiagnosed and has been limping around with a broken foot because of this vet who shouldn't be practicing, I also paid for the medication and her second visit and exrays. They wouldn't credit me a dime for the first "on- call" vets mistake! My poor dog has been limping around with a broken paw and I didn't know because I listened to the first vet. I have never felt so wronged and I feel so bad for my dog. The Animal Hospital at the Crossroads has an unjust way of doing business and it doesn't seem they care or take responsibility for their vets mistakes! My dog now has to have surgery to have a pin put in her foot! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AND I AM TELLING EVERYONE MY STORY! I AM A LOCAL AND THEY MADE A BIG MISTAKE!
