They Caused Pain, Heartache and Regret! 2/6/2012

I had the worst experience ever at this place. They caused me and my sweet little dog more pain and suffering than should ever be permitted. I took him there while on vacation and I trusted them because they were supposed to be professionals. What did I get from the visit? False hope and regret that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. What did my dear beloved little dog get? 24 hours of horrible pain and suffering that could have been prevented had they run the appropiate tests that were needed rather than just pumping him full of fluids. Pros: null Cons: null more

The Animal Hospital at the Crossroads 8/5/2011

On the outside this appears to be a nice hospital, and I was attracted to the 7 days a week care. However, using them for a year and a half I have been consistently disappointed with their service. The care the receive is adequate; however, it is easy to find "adequate" care but here you will be paying a premium care rate. Moreover, the vet and staff never instills confidence in me. more

Misdiagnosed My Miniture Pinscher 8/4/2010

This happend a few years ago and the reason I am writing the review now because I am finally fed up with Bishop and all the nickle and diming that goes on. I have been taking my dogs to various vets for years and never had to have my dogs stool sent to a lab in order to have them wormed......GIVE ME A BREAK! more

Misdiagnosed my poor dog! do not go here! 10/11/2008

Words cannot express my anger towards this animal hospital. Last Monday I took by 1 1/2 year old boxer to them because she had been limping over the weekend and her front left paw was swollen and she could not put it down. My gut instinct told me she must have fallen on some rocks at carmel beach where we take her every day. This was my first time taking her to this animal hospital and the reason I chose this place was because The Carmel Pine Cone readers voted it best vet in Carmel. The vet that saw her little did I know was actually a fill in vet while the main vet is away. His name was John C. Andersen and he diagnosed my poor boxer as having a reaction to a "venemous bite" and injected her with medicine and issued me some tablets to give her. Four days passed and I knew it wasn't a "bite". I took her back in where the main vet George W. Bishop saw her and examined her and showed me exrays that showed yes indeed her front left paw was BROKEN! Not only did I pay for the first visit where my dog was misdiagnosed and has been limping around with a broken foot because of this vet who shouldn't be practicing, I also paid for the medication and her second visit and exrays. They wouldn't credit me a dime for the first "on- call" vets mistake! My poor dog has been limping around with a broken paw and I didn't know because I listened to the first vet. I have never felt so wronged and I feel so bad for my dog. The Animal Hospital at the Crossroads has an unjust way of doing business and it doesn't seem they care or take responsibility for their vets mistakes! My dog now has to have surgery to have a pin put in her foot! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AND I AM TELLING EVERYONE MY STORY! I AM A LOCAL AND THEY MADE A BIG MISTAKE! Cons: Everything more
