I have a G5 Kirby that was very sick. I took it over to the House of Vacuums in High Point, and they explained to me why a great quality vacuum needs to be serviced a least every five years to extend the life of the product. After a new fan kit, a bracket cam and transmission alignment and reseating the commentator and replacing the carbon brushes in the motor my old Kirby was good as new again for a very fair price. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to restore any vacuum cleaner :-)
