My friend was leaving the country and got all her friends together for her Going Away. She heard they had All You Can Eat Crab at Painted Parrot. She called for reservations for 14 of us. They told her there was another party of 24 so they couldn't guarantee crab for her whole party. She said that only a few of us would be eating it. They said it would be okay and made the reservation. When we got seated the party of 24 was already seated and eating their crab and being served their other meals. When we ordered 3 people in our party wanted crab. We were told they didn't have enough to even serve 1 person due to the other party. Quite the disappointment, but they were apologetic. Then we waited well over an hour for our food. I went to complain. The host said she would talk to the owner. She said the party of 24 placed their food order at the same time as us and that is why it was taking so long. I told her the other party was served before we even ordered. She then said that they pre-placed their order that is why. I tell her this is unacceptable service and we should be compensated. She again mentions getting the owner. She disappears and doesn't return. After our server brings our bill, I tell him we never got to talk to the owner. He comes out on immediate defense. He tries to tell me that they told my friend on the phone of this other party and that if we came it would be over an hour wait and they did all they could to detour her from coming. She tells him this isn't so. He then orders me to follow him to his kitchen. He showed me how small his kitchen was and continued to give more excuses. He argued with me with his whole staff watching. He refused to compensate for the lousy service. It was the most ridiculous and unprofessional experience I have ever been witness too. We arrived at 6 and didn?t get out of there till 9.
