My parents have been residents at Village Oaks for several years. Up until 2007 everything was great, but during 2007 there has been a large staff turnover and service has gone downhill badly. About every other month my parents have had medications incorrectly delivered or not delivered at all. Staff delivering the meds are asking the residents what there names are because they do not know them. Staff do not know where meds are kept and have to call someone for instructions. Emergency buttons do not always work or no-one responds to them. I have filed complaints with the state and the results I receive show that the facility does not show any incorrect delivery of medications. My question would be why would someone post incorrect delivery of meds in their own report. I have complained to facility administrator and have been assured they are working on the problems but it appears to me that the facility administrator does not take responsibility for the problems. I recommend you do some major investigation before using this facility. Were looking into relocating my parents to another facility.
