VILLAGE OAKS IS A VERY NICE SETTING,VERY NICE PLACE AND THE RESIDENTS THEIR ARE AWESOME...STAFF IS FRIENDLY,NEW MANAGEMENTS HASS COME BUT IT IS TRUE,THE CAREGIVERS COME AND GO SO FAST AND SO MUCH,THEYRE ALWAYS HIRING PEOPLE SEEMD LIKE EVERY OTHER WEEK,IT IS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT TREAT THEIR STAFF VERY WELL,INSTEAD OF TRYING TO KEEP THE GOOD WORKERS BY PAYING THEM BETTER OR FIXING PROBLEMS THEY JUST HIRE NEW PEOPLE ALL THE TIME BUT WHAT THEY DONT REALIZE IS THEY LOOSE ALOT OF GOOD HEARTED PEOPLE, THAT REALLY DO LIKE THEIR JOB,BUT IF YOR NOT GETTING TREATED RIGHT THEN ITS TIME TO GO.IN MY EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THEESE FACILITIS MANAGEMENTS DOES NOT TAKE INTEREST IN THEIR STAFF,THEYRE JUST WORRIED ABOUT GETTING THE JOB DONE WHICH IS GOOD BUT YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE SOME KIND OF FRIENDSHIP OR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PEOPLE YOU HIRE, WHEN I WORKED THEIR MY SUPERVISOR WAS ALWAYS ON MY BACK ALWAYS THEIR,AND WOULD OFTEN TALK TO ME IN FRONT OF ""EVERYONE"" WHEN REALLY IT WOULD OF BEEN NICE FOR HER TO PULL ME ASIDE AND TALK TO ME IN PRIVATE,MANY COMPLAINTS WERE MADE AGAINST THIS ONE LADY,SHE WAS JUST NOT VERY PROFFESSIONAL SHE WAS ALWAYS STRESSED OUT AND TOOK IT OUT ON HER STAFF...I WENT TO A HIGHER AUTHORITY THINKING THEYD DO SOMETHING BUT NOTHING WAS EVER DONE,SO THEREFORE I LOST MY INTEREST IN THE JOB AND MY DESIRE TO EVEN WORK THEIR,I ENDED UP QUITTING ONE DAY BECAUSE OF IT. SO IT DOES MATTER HOW YOUR TREATED AT A JOB.IT REALLY IS SAD BECAUSE I LOVED THAT PLACE,LOVED MY RESIDENTS.BUT COULD NOT STAND MY BOSS!!!! NOBODY COULD!!!!! THEY LOST A GOOD EMPLOYEE,IF IT WERENT FOR HER I WOULD HAVE STAYED BUT I DESERVED BETTER AND WAS NOT GOING TO LET HER CONTINUE HUMILIATING ME FOR NO REASON OR TALK DOWN TO ME......MY EXPERIENCE IN TEXAS WAS NOT SO GOOD!! My parents have been residents at Village Oaks for several years. Up until 2007 everything was great, but during 2007 there has been a large staff turnover and service has gone downhill badly. About every other month my parents have had medications incorrectly delivered or not delivered at all. Staff delivering the meds are asking the residents what there names are because they do not know them. Staff do not know where meds are kept and have to call someone for instructions. Emergency buttons do not always work or no-one responds to them. I have filed complaints with the state and the results I receive show that the facility does not show any incorrect delivery of medications. My question would be why would someone post incorrect delivery of meds in their own report. I have complained to facility administrator and have been assured they are working on the problems but it appears to me that the facility administrator does not take responsibility for the problems. I recommend you do some major investigation before using this facility. Were looking into relocating my parents to another facility.
