As a second- generation Italian, I was skeptical when by best friend suggested we try out what she said was ""the best italian food she's ever had,"" but I was pleasantly surprised! The decor is adorable, and the food incredible-- they have a tuna and red onion pizza that is more similar to focaccia-- and it's incredible. The Calabrese salad is as tasty as it is beautiful. It gets really busy on the weekends-- but totally worth the wait. I disagree about the lack of a wine list-- the focus is on authentic cuisine, there. Anyways, bars are for drinking, restaurants are for eating... and the house red wine compliments the dishes well enough, for my taste. But I agree-- it is the best Italian food in the area, by far.
Pros: great food, cozy atmosphere, best food in Uptown Whittier
Cons: possible wait on the weekends
