i don't know what this Ray Gun guy is talking about but I like this place.I live in the city of Redlands and I come out here to Whittier a lot. This is by far the best place on Greenleaf. Good beer and food and good music. more

Stopped by one day with my girl and we had a beer a ordered some food. The beer glasses smelled dirty. Could'nt even ejoy my beer. The food was nothing to be proud about. Place is very small and the whole spin theme was way over rated. I think an Ipod was plugged in and playing music. Don't think Ill be going back to this place...many other great places to chill and eat in whittier. Pros: ok food prices Cons: Bad service and food more

I was here this weekend and I defintely enjoyed the music. There is always a live dj and on saturday he was playing everything from west coast hip hop to Mary j.blige to house music. The vibe is very chill. The chicken pesto sandwich was great too. I'm definitely going back soon. The place is small though. Don't be fooled by the cocktails, this place only serves beer and wine. I've lived in Whittier for 9 years, there are only a handful of great spots in the city! Spin is a boasts excellent food, creative delicous drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. They have nightly specials Martini Mondays, and Wine Wednesdays (I know I sound like a lush, Ive only been ther 2X) The food is amazing, cocunut shrimp with real coconuts served with orange marmalade, chicken tacos served with a mango salsa, delicous!! And for happy hour its so affordable, the homemade sangria was only 2.50 a glass, yummy! They also have a few big screen tv's. Great spot to go with friends for happy hour during the week. As a second- generation Italian, I was skeptical when by best friend suggested we try out what she said was ""the best italian food she's ever had,"" but I was pleasantly surprised! The decor is adorable, and the food incredible-- they have a tuna and red onion pizza that is more similar to focaccia-- and it's incredible. The Calabrese salad is as tasty as it is beautiful. It gets really busy on the weekends-- but totally worth the wait. I disagree about the lack of a wine list-- the focus is on authentic cuisine, there. Anyways, bars are for drinking, restaurants are for eating... and the house red wine compliments the dishes well enough, for my taste. But I agree-- it is the best Italian food in the area, by far. Warm, cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Generous servings of EVERYTHING - excellent homemade bread, pasta,and pizza. There is such a wide range and variety of food on this menu - and everything I've tried in my numerous visits has been superb! Could use a wine list to compliment a really outstanding menu. They have imported beer and house wine but they'd benefit from an expanded choice of vino! All in all - this is the best Italian food I've had in Southern California.
