I've been to my share of sushi places all around the valley, and I'm glad to say Sushi Loca has taken over as my #1 spot for sushi. I am originally from the LA area, where there are tons of awesome sushi restaurants. Vegas has some too, but they have been difficult to find. My former #1 for the longest time was on the Westside. That place was my standard, until now. Dining at Sushi Loca was one of the best sushi experiences I've had in a long while. Just as I walked in, I was greeted as if I were family, and they carried that attitude the whole night. They asked for my and my girlfriend's names, and they didn't forget. I saw they had some repeat customers from the community -- 2 different parties came in shortly after us -- and the staff remembered most of their names, which immediately told me they truly care about knowing their guests. I sat at the sushi bar, and I'm glad I did. The sushi chefs are some of the most lively, enthusiastic, and FUN chefs I've met. They make make it a point that you're having a good time, always cracking jokes, and they take good care of you. There was a family of 6 sitting next to us at the bar. They were having as much fun as we were. It reminded me of the enjoyment you have when you go to a Japanese tepan grill (but the chefs don't do tricks). And when you see the menu -- an experience itself -- you'll see it lives up to the restaurant's name. Crazy indeed! But don't let the names fool you. ALL the food is ON POINT. From the quality of the sushi & rolls, to the miso soup, to the salad, to the teriyaki chicken, to even the tempura ice cream for dessert, they are all about QUALITY.
Pros: Prompt, personable service; Community-oriented; Excellent quality; FUN & LOCA!
Cons: None really: you can still sit at a secluded private table for romance
