but california rolls were good! i also enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. great location btw! Cons: i am not a big sushi fan though

BEST SUSHI IN TOWN!!!!!!!! 9/27/2011

Located in the NW part of the valley (Centennial Hills) this restaurant is badly needed out here! Since we live in CH & LOVE sushi we couldn't be happier. The food is off the hook!! We've been there SEVERAL times and have NEVER had a bad experience or a bad meal. Our favorites are the gyoza, veggie fried rice & CA roll (for the kids). Hubby loves caterpillar roll and crazy horse. I love the Put Your Hands Up, tastes like my exgirlfriend, traditional tuna roll & mexican roll. The fish is always fresh (obviously very impt.) and sushi chefs are CRAZY (hence, the name) & FUN, especially if you go at night. The overall experience is a BLAST!!!!!!! more

They are so friendly and fun! The food is amazing and well priced. I personally like the Chicken Habachi because I'm not a sushi eater and it's amazing and huge portions more

Dirty in more than the dishes names on their menu 1/2/2011

Went to this sushi restaurant on Dec 31st for the 2nd time this year. Food was good but the waitresses were aloof. The cleanliness of this restaurant has considerably declined. Upon parking on the side I noticed the blacked out windows were filthy on the inside. After eating I went to the ladies restroom and it was filthy! Evidently no one cleaned it from the day prior as this was at 12 noon when the place first opened at 1130 am and there were only three people dining. There was a filthy portable child booster potty seat on top of an open shelving unit. My feet stuck to the urine on the floor in front of the toilet and the sink was dirty along with many soap and dirty spots all over the red amaryllis plant at the sink. It led me to believe that their kitchen must also be the same. There is too much competition in this town to dine in a dirty sushi restaurant. Maybe the owner can spend some of the millions he made this past year at the progressive slot machine at the Santa Fe and clean up this place! I take the sushi at the Kona Grill any day over this place. more

Fresh Fish!!! good quality the-tuna and yellowtail sashimi are some of the best i have had. Fun place great sushi chefs make it exciting and entertaining. If you have not been to Sushi Loca then you should go! Pros: Fresh Fish Cons: a pro for them but packed to the walls! more

The best meal I've had in a long time. Sushi Loca has always been a favorite hot spot of mine - but I honestly think last night was THE BEST dinner I've had out so far this year. From the first second to the last - I was thrilled. I set up a dinner party for 6 friends and picked Sushi Loca because I know they have those great sushi bar. I made a reservation a few weeks ahead of time as I know its a popular place to be on Friday night. Pros: Best Sushi and Incredible Service Cons: No cons more

Overpriced to-go food!!!!!!! 2/7/2009

My 1st visit to this restuarant was last night. I was so impressed with the service, the food was off the hook! I talked about this Sushi Loca restuarant to all my friends and I was so hungry for it again that I ordered take out the next day. It was not even close to what I had last night. I even ordered the same thing. Now my last experience with this food has me mad. I spent the same amount of money I did last night, but only got half the value. I didnt even get the sause I had last night. SOOOOoooooo I would recommend eating in the restuarant. It is so much better! Don't go for pick-up. You WILL be disappointed. I was!! Pros: To eat in the resturarant, you are treated better, and get more for your money Cons: Buying the same food you had the night before for carry out and feeling like you got screwed more

Look out LA 11/3/2008

This restaurant surpasses all other Japanese restaurants especially for not being located in a Hotel and away from the strip. The decor is really nice like somthing you would see in LA or New York. The staff are all extremely polite and even with my very high maintenance friends they continued to accomodate. The food was nothing short of fabulous. You go there once you will go back! Sushi Lovely! 10/14/2008

We found this restaurant through CitySearch and noticed the rave reviews. Being a foodie, I decided to check it out the other night. Where I live in Vegas, it's a 9 minute drive on the freeway, so it's close. It's also located in a very nice area of town, which brought my hopes up. Going with a previous review stating that this was better than Nobu--which honestly did not impress me when I went last week--I wanted to see what an off strip Sushi bar could offer. Pros: beautiful setting, great prices, and excellent cuisine. Cons: for tourists, this may be far off the strip, but it's worth the drive!! TRUST ME! more

Sometimes it?s the service that matters. Sometimes it?s the food that brings you back. Whichever the case there?s a good sampling of both to be found at Sushi Loca. I?m a local. I live right across the highway and while I?m not a ?foodie? I do consider myself versed in sushi. I have worked in the business before at a reputable sushi restaurant with classically trained Japanese Sushi chefs who took themselves and their art way too seriously so I have some prior knowledge of what to expect from a good sushi joint. What I know and what I demand I found at Sushi Loca. Pros: Wonderful Chefs. Clean environment. Excellent food. Cons: A bit noisy. I wouldn't suggest going on the weekends unless you want to drink and be loud. more

Best Sushi Place in Town! 8/24/2008

I LOVE sushi, and eat out for sushi at least once per week. After finding Sushi Loca, there is no need to go anywhere else! It's a bit out of the way for me (it's in Centennial Hills), but totally worth the drive. The food is always fresh, very consistant (I am IN LOVE with the Loca Special roll, and it has the same kick every time!) and quick. The prices are comparable to other restaurants and the ""vibe"" is always fun, welcoming and unpretentious. I highly recommend the loca special roll and the crazy horse roll. They're so addictive! Pros: Sushi is so good! Plenty of parking. Service is great. Atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Cons: Not centrally located. more

Great and consistant sushi 7/27/2008

Been there 10 times for lunch and dinner. Consistance food every time. Reasonably priced and large portions. The food is fresh and presentation is great too. A fun place to go with good service and friendly staff. Sometime a little noisy with sushi bar crowd having fun. Large menu to choice from too. Also hot dishes are good if you don't want all sushi. Some the the cheapest and best sushi in the city. Pros: Fresh and cheap food that tastes great Cons: A little noisy. more

okay either you love this place or you own a sushi restaurant in town and hate this place!! sushi loca is the best I've found... anyone who dislikes las vegas restaurants needs to have their taste buds checked and move back to the ""bay"" area. i love sushi and have been to many places- and really wouldnt expect anything special about a place in the very new centennial hills area- so i was delighted when basically every item me and my husband ordered was beyond delicious! every dish was amazing! fresh, served beautifully and just heavenly!
