Our first time at Rudy's will be our last. We had heard about the place for years, so wanting lobster, we decided to try it. The steaks were ok, not great, but you can add on mushrooms and onions for additional cost. The lobster was tough and chewy to the point that I couldn't even cut through it and had to send it back. It's replacement was slightly better but overly salted. The lobster ravioli had bits of shells in it. The escargot were overly dry. Even the clam chowder was the worst I've had in a while- lukewarm, overly creamy with hardly any chunks in it. We both took two bites and passed. The best part of the meal was the frech fries that came with the kids meal (very BK, and almost as good). We had great service and no wait. We went at 6:30 tonight (Wednesday). They were able to accomodate large parties quickly. I enjoyed the new decor and great art on the walls (enamel on steel pieces), the atmosphere could even be romantic. Overall, not worth the money for the below average food. A cheeseburger kids meal, Steak and Lobster dinner, and lobster ravioli with 1 cocktail and an appetizer was over $100. The plain burger and fries was the only thing I didn't consider sending back. Oh- for those with kids: The lobster tank does get emptier overnight, so you may not want to sit by it.
Pros: Service, accomodates large parties, kid friendly
Cons: Horrible food, Expensive
