I had heard that Harvest on the Hudson was an enjoyable place to dine and all about the garden where they grow many of the vegetables they cook with but until I finally got there last night I hadn't realized what a truly wonderful hidden gem this restaurant is (I say hidden because I live in Northern NJ and typically cross the GWB for great dining not the Tappanzee Bridge). \r

I loved both the interior AND exterior design and they have a solid menu and excellent service. We started with Lobster Ravioli as an appetizer (which I highly recommend) and our entrees were Tuna which was coated with tempura and came to us rare as requested (you can get it seared as well minus the tempura) and a ribeye steak which was of very good quality. \r

We dined inside but took a stroll outside through the gardens and walked out on the grass watching boats on the Hudson. I look forward to going back and taking one of the many relaxing outside tables for leisurely dining in the maze of the garden. THe restaurant was upscale casual which I love. Some of the outdoor tables felt private and very romantic.\r
Indoor and outdoor bar with great cocktail menu. Try the King Mojito- excellent!\r
