We had not been to Christy's for several years and went on a recent Sunday at 7:00 P.M. There was no valet service, no meters near the restaurant and we ended up walking over a block in the heat. Once there, we were seated promptly at a lovely table and our waiter was excellent throughout the meal. The food itself, however, was so-so. The Caesar salad, though delicious, was over-dressed and a bit soggy. The steaks were excellent but the baked potatoes had the consistency of a microwave preparation that had been finished in the oven. More gummy than fluffy. The vegetables could have had a bit more seasoning. They were fresh but on the bland side. For dessert we had baked Alaska which was perfectly prepared and ignited at the table. Since this is the slow season, perhaps we'll try it after September and see if it is a better all around experience.
Pros: Service and ambience
Cons: Parking
