Salem Woods relies on family for its service, so you need to be in the right mindset to visit there. If you're looking for a white-glove, black-truffle-laden experience, grab your wallet and head down to Exchange Street to waste your hard earned money on haute microcuisine. But if you work hard and want to eat hard, Salem Woods is your place. We live right next door and go often, and our service is never a problem as long as we go there looking to have good home-cooked meals served by people who could be our mothers or sisters. This is a homestyle restaurant, which is a dying art when swamped with buffalo chicken and drive thru's, and we try to support them as much as possible.
Pros: Everything is delicious. I swear.
Cons: Parking, long waits at rush times, at times ambivalent service.
