I bought 5 major appliances in February for a total cost of $3,500. Each one of the appliances needed service calls before they were even usable. Thank goodness I had purchased a maintenance agreement (at a tune of $800!) because they were definitely not in working order AT ALL when they were purchased, which should be illegal. They assured me they had been checked out, but apparently not! I was without hot water for over 3 weeks while waiting for a service call and the subsequent ordering of back ordered parts. I don't think the problem is with Sears appliances or with their service reps, just with getting appliances from the outlet store. The amt you save in cost is not anywhere near what the time and trouble are worth. I called customer relations to get some kind of satisfaction--""Sorry there's nothing we can do."" I'll never shop there again and would not encourage anyone I know to. Buyer Beware. Lesson learned.
