I was just in D. Gellar on Cobb Pkwy. this morning looking for a watch for my husband for his birthday...specifically a Tissot. I clearly stated to the saleswoman that I was only looking and still doing my research and I WAS NOT ready to buy today, but was close to making my choice. She showed me the Tissot watches and in my mind I made note of the watch I liked best. I asked her to write down the model number so I could come back and purchase after I made my mind up. Low and behold...out comes ""Supersales Man""! The first thing he said was ""What can I do to get you in this watch today?"". I told him that I was clear with the sales woman that I wasn't going to buy today...he ""Yeah she told me that."" I started to walk away and he said in a louder voice...""How about if I drop it down to $450?"" I said no. Again in an even louder voice...""What is it gonna take for you to buy this watch?"" Then in my loudest voice...""NOTHING! I don't like being pressured!"" \r

So I go back to my office and conatct the store manager. Even bigger mistake...when I explained to him what happened...he said, ""I told him to go say that to you. And if we listened to people everytime they said that in our store we would have closed a long time ago."" \r

Needless to say D. Gellar needs to teach it's sales people how to treat customers and how to make a sale in a professional manner. I understand they are in sales....but it is still important to listen to their customers and their needs. This manager had the perfect opportunity to turn this bad experience around, and he acted the worst!!! I was certainly planning on buying the watch from them...but now, I'll go elsewhere.\r

I will share my experience with those I know and let them decide for themselves. The reaction so far has been, ""I won't be going there anytime soon."".
Pros: Nice watches
Cons: Horrible sales people...even worse store manager. They won't listen to their cusomters!
