I used Biscuits last year to board my dogs shortly after I learned they opened in the area. I was very happy then. This year is a different story though. I called and reserved a place for my two dogs to stay while we went on vacation. I was told to bring them in on that day. Although nothing was said to me about getting my dogs vaccines updated, I went ahead and took care of it like I do every year. When I arrived to drop off my dogs I was met by a very rude employee. She did not ask if I had taken my dogs to get their vaccines this year. She seemed annoyed when I handed her some dog toys and treats to give to my dogs while they were there. I was saying goodbye to them and she was very short with me and hurried me out the door. When we arrived back to pick up my dogs afer vacation I was told that one of my dogs had just started coughing within 30 minutes or our arrival. The employee told me it was probably just because of his collar though and not to be concerned. That evening both of my dogs were awake most of the night. They had uncontrollable coughing and did not hardly sleep at all. I took them to the veterinarian in the morning and was told that they have Bordetella. I paid over $200 for medications for the two of them. (Bordetella is similar to bronchitis & typically vaccinated against with results similar to the flu vaccine) I called Biscuits to inform them of the outbreak and rude employee. The manager was aware of the rude employee, I was not the first to complain. She was also aware that one of my dogs was sick, though not the other. Nothing was done to remedy some of the expenses I incurred due to the illness they contracted while staying at Biscuits. When I asked about their policy on vaccinations I was told that they only check the first time an animal is brought in and it is not a policy they enforce after the first visit. They were very non-chalant about the whole incident. I would NOT recommend taking your pet to Biscuits any time in the future.
Pros: Dogs are in a day care environment
Cons: Poor health hygiene lack of vaccine policy
