The burritos got us hooked on this restaurant - great ingredients in delicious combinations on fresh tortillas made right before your eyes. Some of our favorites are the fajita-rito (fajita meat with grilled onions) and the gringo-rito (grilled chicken with lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole). Then we discovered the salads, the soups, and when our little boy was old enough for his own meal, the tacos. The food is as affordable as it is delicious.\r

The service at the cafeteria style counter is fast and friendly, and the staff has always been happy to accommodate any special requests. The toughest thing about going to Habanero's is deciding what to eat. We usually sit inside, where the walls are covered with colorful murals, but the tree-covered patio is just a beautiful. Unlike Chipotle's rather antiseptic atmosphere and ho-hum offerings, Habanero's is a truly unique not-to-be-missed San Antonio experience.
Pros: Great value for great food
Cons: Long line ups at lunch, tough finding parking at peak times
