A few years ago I used to visit this place often for their salad pizza. One day I happened to notice something strange on the slice. I showed the gentleman behind the counter, in a discreet manner, that there was a insect on the pizza. At first he denied that this was the case, and tried to pass it off as ""oven residue"". I'm not even sure what that is. After I pointed out the antenna and wings that the ""oven residue"" possessed, he brought over his manager. I showed the manager the insect and he turned to me and said, ""So what do you want me to do about it?"" I didn't know how to answer. Having worked in the restaurant business before, I know that in situations like these a apologetic attitude works much better than a defensive one. All I could say was, just make sure in the future that you wash the lettuce in a more thorough manner. He said he could not prevent situations like these. That secured the fact that I was never to return. He never offered me another slice (I had only taken two bites) or a refund. I didn't bother to ask, he was being completely unprofessional. I don't know if my young face made him feel like he could treat me in that manner, but I've made sure to tell everyone I know who eats there to avoid it in the future. My advice for that manager: be more professional and wash your lettuce!
Cons: Food not prepared in a careful and sanitary manner
