The setting (historical landmark) is beautiful despite the ugly surroundings.\r
Seating/service was prompt.\r

Appretif: Non-vintage champagne is priced correctly (1.8x retail price). Wine selection is one of the\r
better ones in the area.\r
Ordered: Ravioli with chocolate/truffle sauce, diver scallops, dessert.\r

Food was quite good, though some flavor arrangements are ""?"". I tend to think that there are\r
too many American-French New Cuisine copies... it's not the ingredients who get the spot-light - and\r
we are forced to focus on the chef's artistic creativity. \r

Meal for 2 came to $140 plus tip. This is a special occasion restaurant which could be a once-a-month\r
restaurant if not ordering higher priced wines. \r
\r
Pros: Lovely building, interesting menu, good wine list, nice staff
Cons: Food interpretations could be questionable, at times.
