First time I visited was ok. Easy to get appointment. 2nd time was HORRIBLE! \r
\r
I picked up my dog and the owner said they cut him with the clippers and glued the cut together. She said it wasn't that bad, that if they felt he needed stitches, they would have taken him to the vet. Since it was glued, I couldn't tell how bad it was until the next morning after he had licked it open. I took him to the vet and he got 5 stitches!\r
\r
I asked the vet if this is a common thing. They said it can happen to the best of groomers, but they do not see it very often (and they are connected to a groomer too). The vet assistant said even if a dog is heavily matted, if the groomer is careful, it's unlikely the dog would get cut. \r
\r
So in other words, knowing my dog was heavily matted, they still rushed and were careless enough to take a nickle size chunk out of his skin.\r
\r
The only positive thing I can say about the experience is that they are reimbursing the vet bill. I still have to deal with the damage and trying to restrict my dog from pulling the stitches. Not to mention, I don't know how my dog will react to grooming next time. I sure wouldn't want to be groomed again if I were him!
Pros: easy to get an appointment
Cons: careless staff - rushed clipping dog and cut him
