I recently drove up Stueben Street on my way to the Robinson Mall, and crossed the path of Better-Maid Donuts. It stood on the side of the road, a fainted pink color. I pulled off to the side of the road, and as soon as I got out of my car the fresh donut smell was alluring and pulled me right into the door. Inside I was overwhelmed by the sight: beautiful, colorful, and LARGE donuts. There were cake donuts of chocolate & vanilla, blueberry, sourdough, french, not to mention an array of glazed, sugar, cinnamon-sugar raised donuts. On top of the display case is where the big daddy's are: cinnamon rolls, jelly filled, birdnests, creme sticks, cake donuts stuffed with cream cheese and topped with chocolate icing. I bought two dozen, and decided to freeze one dozen to enjoy the following week. Thumbs up to the owners!!!! This will become a regular stop from now on.
