I remember as a kid delivering the sunday paper on my bike and when I ws finished, I would pedal up steuben to the ""pink house"" for a dozen donuts and a bag of donte holes. I recently drove up Stueben Street on my way to the Robinson Mall, and crossed the path of Better-Maid Donuts. It stood on the side of the road, a fainted pink color. I pulled off to the side of the road, and as soon as I got out of my car the fresh donut smell was alluring and pulled me right into the door. Inside I was overwhelmed by the sight: beautiful, colorful, and LARGE donuts. There were cake donuts of chocolate & vanilla, blueberry, sourdough, french, not to mention an array of glazed, sugar, cinnamon-sugar raised donuts. On top of the display case is where the big daddy's are: cinnamon rolls, jelly filled, birdnests, creme sticks, cake donuts stuffed with cream cheese and topped with chocolate icing. I bought two dozen, and decided to freeze one dozen to enjoy the following week. Thumbs up to the owners!!!! This will become a regular stop from now on. Get there early for the best selection of donuts that melt in your mouth!!!! The store closes when they are sold out each day. Love all those multicolor sprinkles on the donuts!! Cons: go early or they sell more
