I've eaten sushi at many high-end restaurants in NYC, Boston and SF (as well as little holes-in-the-wall across the country). Haruki East is on par with some of the better, if not best, places I've been to. The sushi is always fresh. The service is decent to excellent depending on who serves you, of course. Shala is a doll. She also knows a lot about the menu and can recommend things that aren't even listed that the chefs are happy to prepare. The King Crab hand-roll is delicious and I love the Die Hard maki. They occassionally have tiny little fried crabs that taste like 'potato chips of the sea'. Eating them can feel a bit primal. If you are in the mood for it, they are surely worth it. I recently moved to Wayland Square and this restaurant was a godsend. I've tried many other sushi establishments in RI and this has been the best one I've been to so far.
Pros: Clean dining room, fresh sushi, good service
Cons: Probably parking (not for me since I live nearby)
