Anytime I'm in Corpus, I always drop by the Astor. I'm not sure about every other day of the week, though. Honestly, it's been a couple years since I lived in corpus. The thing I loved about the Astor was the immediate salad and (on sundays) FANTASTIC cream of chicken soup as no-charge appetizers. Their forte really is steak, though. I still dream about their chicken fried steak. I've also found that they are one of the few restaurants that serve ""Green Goddess"" dressing. Extreme garlic, salty...I love it. I'm not going to lie, it IS indeed a hole in the wall. Kind of poorly upkept, and DEFINITELY not in the best of neighborhoods, but the food is worth it!
