Nice ambiance. I liked the live piano music. Appetizer of Beef Croustades (thin beef on toast) was flavorful, tender and the cream sauce drizzled over it was great. I try a wedge salad everywhere I go, and nothing has compared to the blue cheese dressing at TL&C. Definitely split it with someone at your table - you are given about half a head of lettuce, whch will leave you too full to enjoy the entrees and desserts. The wedge salad was better than TL&C, with its extra chunky blue cheese dressing, bacon and thick tomato slice. Needed salt, though. My dinner companion got the III Forks Pepper Steak and hated it. Very tough, hard to chew and bland. I got the Filet Mignon & Crabcake St. Francis. The filet was the best I have had in my life - it was so tender I could pull out bites with my fork - FABULOUS, good flavor. I had it 'oscared' and they give plenty of crab pieces, 3 asparagus spears, and the sauce was creamy and rich. Don't waste your time with the hoity-toity crabcake - it was too burnt for my taste and bland, alot of crab and less bread - which is good, but it had no flavor. Nothing special about the crabcake. I was torn between the bread pudding and the creme brulee. Sometime brulee can just taste like eggs. The bread pudding with Amy's cinnamon ice cream and bourbon sauce with pecans, was a piece of HEAVEN. And I hate pecans (yes, and I still call myself a southna), but I ate everything on that plate. The bread was very moist and soft, no hard edges to jab you in the gums. The carmel sauce was rich and fabulous. The bread had no spice in it, so you must take a bite of bread, mixed with sauce and ice cream to get the full effect. If anyone gets the creme brulee, let me know how it was. Valet $10 with tip. Enjoy!
