I honestly tried to like the Left Bank. I went back over four times (shame on me), each time the service was awful, and the food wasn?t special. My father owned restaurants in San Francisco so I understand that this is a tough business but I have run out of excuses for the Left Bank. The location and outside seating are the only positive things I can say about the restaurant. The staff does move quickly but I am not sure where they are going?certainly not to pick up beverages or the food. Are they polite?...at times but I have also been very shocked by the rudeness.\r

On one occasion, it took 45 minutes to get one bottle of wine delivered to the table and then it wasn?t open for another 10 minutes. The only time our waiter showed any interest, charm or professionalism was when he handed us the check and invited us back. No thank you! \r

You are paying for the location so don?t expect to have a positive food or service experience. There are so many other places to eat at Santana Row that do understand good food and service?I have vowed to never to go back.
Pros: People watching
Cons: Service and Food
