I had to get my bridesmaids dress altered, and when I saw his positive reviews on Citysearch, I decided to check it out. The location is very accessible, with parking at the Porter Exchange and public transportation, such as the T, commuter rail and buses. \r

Jack is a friendly tailor, always greeting customers by their name, and very professional. He took in the dress, removed some trim that was fastened in the lining, and had it ready the next weekend. He gave me some good tips on steaming and from what I gather charged a fairly standard rate--$85 for taking it in, shortening the hem, and removing the ribbon. At first it seemed expensive, but after talking with friends I realized that their tailors would charge about the same.\r

The only down side is that Jack doesn't accept credit cards. So go there ready with cash. There are ATMs in the area, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience to go back with money.\r
