I love so much about the Screen Door. The Shrimp and Grits, macaroni and cheese and specials derived from locally grown foods far surpass other southern style food I've had in PDX. The servers are also wonderful and table service is fantastic. \r

However, the attitude of the host/owner is so consistently unpleasant to deal with, even downright rude on one occasion, that I will not go back again. If you knew how much I loved good southern food, you'd understand what a big deal this is. \r

it's such a shame, but this man seems to have come to the conclusion that he definitely wants to attract a certain type of older, wealthier patron. There's certainly nothing wrong with having a target audience, but rudeness to any polite, paying customer is, in my opinion, inexcusable.
Pros: The excellent food and gracious servers
Cons: The host/owner's attitude is awful, can be noisy at times, can be a long wait
