I have been to Haruki East several times. Each time the service was abominal (I subscribe to the three strike rule and H.E. is OUT). Waitstaff as per my experiences there has no personality and appears to be too busy to give anyone personal attention. I have even had a full glass of hot tea spilled on me (and a client!) by a distracted waiter who came upon our table from behind and tried to manoever the cup between two people in conversation (who were using their hands to illustrate a point). The food is good but not spectactular. The prices are higher than comparable sushi restaurants in the state. New Japan, for instance, in downtown Providence is a far better Japanese restaurant with better prices and more friendly service. I will not be returning to H.E....
