Renters watch out! 4/10/2007

As for hiring this company to manage property, of their service, I am not knowlageable. However, as a tenant of one of the properties that they manage I am completely disenchanted. Safety and comfort do not seem to be of high concern as I have had to call the police for 2 assaults to my 8 year old son, and no action was taken by the manager. Secondly, more times than not, when I leave for work at 9:30 pm I am frequently barricaded in by teenage boys that pretend not to see my car (there are 3 entrances into the complex but the gates are closed and locked when the office closes so I have no alternate route). Finally, the AC was turned off when I moved in, I addressed this when I moved in, as I know el paso is hot, and was assured that they would be turned back on in a timely manner. I inquired middle of Feburary and was told that they all needed to be repaired and that this was not in their budget, at the beginning of March the parts were on backorder and as of today (April 10th) they will get to it at their earliest convience but no set date. My ""constant calling"" was deemed to be, by one of their associates, as ""harrassment"".My apartment is stifeling during the day as it is in full sunlight from 1 pm onward, and my husband has to choose between sleeping with one eye open(with our windows open at night) or not sleeping at all.I'm astounded by their lack of customer service skills and offended by thier lack of empathy and urgency. From my conversations with the different levels of authority within this company ,they manage several properties within this city, and although I was told today to ""not take it personal"" I wonder how someone cannot when it affects their very safety, happiness, and comfort? Pros: the apartments they represent Cons: poor management and lack of professionalism more
