I live in Oakland, and I have established a few favorite sushi bars in Oakland, Berkeley & Alameda. But my work brought me out to Morello Avenue in Pleasant Hill, and a co-worker recommended Jo's Sushi for the expertise of the sushi chef & owner (Jo) and described the place as a ""hidden gem."" SO TRUE! I watched hoops on the TV, ate the ""butteriest"" nigiri, and spoke with the owner about how he became so popular with the people of Contra Costa county. Finally, the one thing that will amaze you is they have the most FANTASTIC bathroom in restaurant history. No kidding.
