Recently I've been going to quite a few Thai restaurants in different cities, so I've got many restaurants to compare this one to. Jai Ya is a very good restaurant with excellent friendly service. The atmosphere is a little more elegant than others and the restaurant is quite comfortable. The food is very good but not special. We tried the chopped pork appetizer which was only fair (I don't remember the name but it's pictured on the front inside cover of the menu). The pork satay appetizer was super -- highly recommended. The vegetable salad was ordinary. The Pad Ke Mow (Drunken Noodles) was good, but not special. The Beef PaNang was also good but not special. All in all, a very nice restaurant that we will go back to, but not on my list of best Thai restaurants.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, good friendly service, easy parking
Cons: Food is good but could be a little better.
