My husband recently went in to get the keys to look at a townhouse they are representing in Pasadena. The lady was nice and even though my husband explained to her that he had one thing that went into collection years ago by accident, she encouraged him to fill out the application. We went to look at that property and LOVED it. We filled out all the paper work and when my husband returned with the keys and application the lady at the desk was extremelly rude and short with him ( the lady that had lended him the keys was not in). Later I called and asked if they received our paper work and she said in a very rude manner " Yes, but you don't qualify anyway!" I went back and forth with this lady via email ( as she would not pick up her phone) and she couldn't give me a straight answer as to why we didn't qualify. First it was because we were $90.00 short on a 3.5X the rent they ask for, then ( when I proved her wrong), she said it was because of a collection bill that went years ago into collection .. and nothing ever after that. I told her it was a mistake and we had the letter to prove it ( she ignored me). Then she said we had too many bills ( when our bills only came to 598. The lady was really rude and would not do anything for us. We even said we would pay double security and if she could speak to the owner and she said no. I then spoke to Beven himself, he was much nicer and promised to speak to the owner to see what he could do. My husband called back the next day ( as Beven did not return our phone call) and spoke to Beven. Beven lied and said he never promised to speak to the owner. We live in a apartment that cost us $1300 now, their rent was going for $1395 and they said we couldn't afford it. That place is ridiculous and the owner should've thought twice before hiring those people to represent his property. He could have a nice hard working couple with great rental history renting his place right now. The townhouse is still up for rent. I wonder why.
