I went on a Saturday night, which wasn't too busy since school is out. The place itself is beautiful and I really liked the lodge feeling. The fireplace was a nice touch.
As for appetizers, the nachos were slightly burnt and the fried calamari was tasty, though a bit on the greasy side. When we ordered, most of the sides were out like the sweet potato fries, cole slaw and mac salad. The ribs were out which is surprising since the place deemed itself a steakhouse. I checked out the salad bar was wasn't into the iceberg lettuce and pasta salad, but the bread did look appealing.
My steak sandwich was merely a dry piece of meat on bread. Thankfully, I had ordered medium rare. My only consolation was that they bought us a round. The beer was good and I only wish we had hung out in the bar instead. Our waitress was very nice, so that made it easier for us to deal with the food quality.
Pros: nice atmosphere, good beers, good desserts
Cons: food quality and aviailability
